Team Canada picked up a massive 5-3 win over Team Finland on Feb. 17. With this, they have advanced to the 4 Nations Face-Off Final and will get their rematch against Team USA.
Pittsburgh Penguins captain Sidney Crosby once again played a major role in Canada's win. No. 87 scored the empty-netter that put an end to Team Finland's impressive comeback attempt, which saw them score three unanswered goals in the third period. Crosby also had the primary assist on Nathan MacKinnon's second-period goal.
Crosby has been simply incredible during this tournament, as he has one goal and leads all players with five points. With this, Tampa Bay Lightning head coach Jon Cooper had some big-time praise for the future Hall of Famer following the game.
"In our country, he walks on water," Cooper said about Crosby. "And he's as humble as they come."
It is hard to disagree with Cooper here. Crosby has had an unbelievable career, and he is not showing any signs of slowing down at 37 years old. He has been Canada's top star during this tournament, and he's a major reason why they are going to the 4 Nations Face-Off Final.
It will be fascinating to see if Cooper, Crosby, and the rest of Team Canada can defeat Team USA at TD Garden on Feb. 20 from here. There is no question that it is going to be an outstanding contest.
